Ecological Surfboards

When surfers are riding the waves, they are one with nature. However, that unfortunately doesn't mean that all surfboards are produced in an environmentally friendly way. The 2Imagine team has tackled this problem at its core – literally. They developed a new surfboard core that consists of polystyrene from old coffee cups or packages. As a matter of fact, it's made of recycled material and is itself recyclable – a real novelty. At the same time, the core is quite functional as it is more durable than standard EPS-cores, doesn't take on water and is less vulnerable to scratches and holes. The so-called ecoboard is laminated with bamboo fibers, which are more flexible and more resistant to damage than the typical fiberglass. 2Imagine promises a more lively riding experience, board longevity and even pleases the eye with a first-class finish. Intelligent transport solutions, thought-out details and appealing designs round off the concept.
