Apex Hi Mod Carbon Alpine Ski Boot

There are no significant differences between modern ski boots of established manufacturers at first glance. The young brand Apex from the USA follows a different path. The soft inner boot and the stiff outer shell made from carbon are two separate elements. The shoe is fixed by using ratchets which is similar to a snowboard boot, and therefore combines comfort and easy handling with the performance feature of alpine ski boots. The boot can be released easily from the chassis and turns into the first ski boot that is comfortable to walk in.

As a former ski racer, I was VERY sceptical about the design. But, I tried them on and skied on them, and was VERY surprised! Excellent performance!!!

Skied this boot today in Aspen at a demo and was blown away. Comfortable, warm and skis as well as a race boot. Can't wait to get a pair.

Long overdue. I ski on Carbon Fiber Skis - which are fantastic. I can only imagine the combination with Carbon Fiber Ski Boots!

my sail boat is carbon fiber. My ski poles are carbon fiber. My ski boots will be as well. Great material. Light, strong and unaffected by cold.

I skied these boots last year; stiff laterally, but forgiving in flex. Got much more performance from my skis. Comfortable and easy to fit.

Carbon is used in the chassis to provide similar resistance to forward lean and lateral responsiveness of PU shell boots with a lot less structure.
